The transport of heat in an oil layer caused by the injection of hot fluid

Summary

A mathematical model for the injection of hot water into an oil bearing layer has been made, leading to an interesting partial differential equation. In this paper it is shown that the repeated or two-dimensional Laplace transformation represents an effective tool for solving such equations. In this case the transformation is carried out with respect to the distance and the time variables.
