Abstract
Over the last thirty years, high-strength, low-alloy (HSLA) steels have come into their own as engineering materials. While the various compositions of microalloyed HSLA steels are vital to their unique properties, the processing techniques applied are of paramount importance in achieving maximum potential from a given composition. In addition, some recent developments are changing the complexion of this technology and will be important in the next few years.
