Orientierungsvorgänge bei der Dehnung von Polyurethan-Elastomeren

Zusammenfassung

Um zur Aufklärung des Dehnungsvorganges von PU-Elastomeren beziutragen, wird die Dehnungsdoppelbrechung eines mit Butandiol verlängerten Polyester-Elastomers bestimmt. Hierbei wird die Probendicke interferometrisch nach einem Verfahren von Theocaris gemessen, das insbesondere auf doppelbrechende Substanzen anwendbar ist. Es ergibt sich, daß die Doppelbrechung nahezu proportional zur Dehnung ist, jedoch keine einfache Korrelation zur Spannung zeigt. Als Ursache hierfür wird neben der Orientierungs- eine Korrelationsentropie diskutiert, die durch die Existenz sog. Kraftstränge bedingt ist.
