Abstract

The production of Cyclosporin A using wheat bran as the solid substrate was attempted using Tolypocladium sp. and it was found that the yield was 10 times more than the yield obtained by submerged fermentation. Hydrolysing the wheat bran using dilute HCl was found to increase the yield. Different solvents were used for the optimization of extraction of Cyc A from the fermented bran.
