Abstract

The complete chloroplast genome of Sinadoxa corydalifolia is determined in this study. This is the first study to report the complete chloroplast genome for the family Adoxaceae. The estimated size of the S. corydalifolia plastome is 157,074 bp. This circular molecule has a typical quadripartite structure containing a large single copy region (LSC) of 86,430 bp, a small single copy region (SSC) of 18,668 bp, and two inverted repeat regions (IRs) of 25,988 bp. There are 118 unique genes, 17 of which are duplicated in IR regions. Of all these genes, there are 86 protein-coding genes (six duplicated in IR regions), 41tRNA genes (seven duplicated in IR regions) and eight rRNA genes (four duplicated in IR regions). The overall AT content of S. corydalifolia cp genome is 62.2 %, while the corresponding values of the LSC, SSC and IR regions are 64.0, 68.6 and 57.0 %, respectively.
