Abstract

A method of determining triplet quantum yields using a dye laser is described. Triplet yields were measured for eosin, fluorescein, acridine orange, proflavine, and pentacene in fluid solutions. The results reveal the occurrence of an efficient internal conversion process for the three latter compounds.
