  • Morphology dependant oxidation of aromatic alcohols by new symmetrical copper(II) metallatriangles formed by self-assembly of a shared bis-benzimidazolyl diamide ligand

    2013, Inorganica Chimica Acta
    Citation Excerpt :

In heterogeneous catalysis an important issue is to probe whether metal ion sites that carry out the catalytic processes are different from those sites, where the substrate binds strongly leading to a low reactivity [2]. Earlier work has suggested that both size and shape of the catalyst is important and the catalyst undergo changes as catalysis proceeds [3]. With a view to probe further into the above effect, we have synthesized a new bis-benzimidazolyl diamide ligand and its copper(II) metallatriangles.
