Plastics in Outdoor Applications
2022, Encyclopedia of Materials: Plastics and PolymersStrong UV absorption by nanoparticulated lignin in polymer films with reinforcement of mechanical properties
2020, PolymerCitation Excerpt :Novel UV-absorbing packaging that extends the life of foods and medicines has been intensively developed [2] to achieve several the Sustainable Development Goals (e.g., target 12.3) [3]. Triazole derivatives [4] and inorganic particles [1,5–7] have been widely used to impart UV-absorption ability to resin and/or polymeric materials. However, concerns have arisen about environmental pollution and adverse effects on human health caused by these components, especially triazole derivatives [8].
Stability of UV Stabilizers

2020, Handbook of UV Degradation and StabilizationDegradation and stabilization of polyurethane elastomers
2019, Progress in Polymer ScienceCitation Excerpt :CB-Ds and CB-As are also referred to as primary antioxidants, while hydroperoxide decomposers are classified as secondary antioxidants [133]. Photostabilizers used for polymers are extensively discussed in the literature [27,131,133,134,138,139,207,225–247], with a list of the most important photostabilizers for PUs found elsewhere [129,240]. It is important to note that these photostabilizers may affect other significant physical properties that are also important for some specific applications, such as thermal properties, mechanical strength and color translucency.
