Abstract

A shift of low frequency peak in pressure oscillation measured during the commissioning of a PWR is explaned as the result of changes of the water level in the pressurizer. Simple calculational model based on equivalence of electric circuit with Helmholtz equation gives a sensible interpretation of the phenomenon.

In the second part a new approach is suggested for estimation of reactivity coefficients in power reactors via noise measurement. The method has been used to evaluate pressure coefficient ϖϱ/ϖp during a fuel campaign.
