Dana Hyde, INSEAD, Boulevard de Constance, 77305 Fontainebleau Cedex, France. Dana Hyded is in hte second year of the Ph.D. program at INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. She is specializing in strategy, with a particular interest in the interface of strategy and organization, and is currently researching integration issues in merges and acquisitions in multinational companies.
Prior to commencing her doctoral studies Ms. Hyde worked as a Research Associate at IMEDE, and as a Lecturer at the School of Business Administration, the University of Western Ontario. She holds an Honors degree in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario.

James C Ellert, International Institute for Management and Development (IMD), PO Box 915, CH-1001 Lausanne, Switzerland. Professor Ellert took his BA at the University of Toronto, gained his MA at the University of Western Ontario and took his PhD at the University of Chicago, USA.
He is now Professor of Finance at IMD. He has held faculty appointments at the University of Chicago, University of Western Ontario, and Queen's University (Canada). Was Director of the MBA Program at IMEDE and IMD (1985–1990). Fields of interest include financial management, banking, and international capital markets. Current research is centred on industry analysis and strategic planning for multinational banks. Consultant on bank management, corporate financing, and valuation issues. Has participated in numerous executive development programs in Eastern and Western Europe, North America, the Carribean, Middle East, India, Far East and Australia.
