Abstract

The dependence of the critical temperature, Tc, on hydrostatic and uniaxial pressure was investigated on two single crystals having nominal composition of Bi2Sr1.7Ca1.3Cu2Ox and Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox with Tconse t at 1 atm) of 89K and 91K, respectively, which were grown by floating zone method. Tc determined from the electrical resistivity was found to increase with the increase of the hydrostatic pressure, while the sign of coefficients dTcdPc and dTcdPC under uniaxial pressure were found to be minus and plus, respectively.
