2022, Journal of Magnetic ResonanceCitation Excerpt :In the case of homonuclear experiments, in which an a priori symmetry of the cross-peaks is expected around the spectral diagonal, symmetrization of the data set was one of the first methods to be applied [20]. Another common approach towards removing t1-noise is reference deconvolution [25,26], in which a distortions undergone by a single strong peak –for instance the solvent– are used to model the noise pattern; if this reference is well isolated, one can subsequently restore ideal PSFs to the remaining peaks along the indirect domain. Other, more general methods that have been described include singular value decomposition (SVD)-based Cadzow denoising [27], correlated trace denoising [28], acquisition of several separate nD matrices and only posterior co-addition [29], or resampling-based REAL-t1 denoising [30].
