2019, Journal of Molecular StructureCitation Excerpt :To overcome these difficulties various other chemical routes like sol gel synthesis [3–6] were reported which predominantly reduces synthesis temperature. Further, methods like co-precipitation [7], hydrothermal [8] and polymeric precursor methods [9–12] show advantage of low temperature synthesis over traditional solid state synthesis. Among the main techniques for generating nanoparticles via the wet chemical route, combustion synthesis [13] is the one that stands out.

However, one peak for all the samples (x = 0–0.2) is observed at 1532 cm−1 which corresponds to the C˭O bonds as shown in Fig. 2(a). The same peak for ZT sample is also observed by another work [34]. However, after calcining the samples at 1200 °C, the intensity of C˭O bonds rapidly decreases which indicates complete combustion or evaporation of organic bonds as shown in Fig. 2(b).

2017, Ceramics InternationalCitation Excerpt :Moreover, the formation of ZrTiO4 solid solutions is also reported in the case of TiO2-YTZP system [45]. The temperature of 1400 °C is sufficient to obtain zirconium titanate, ZrTiO4 by solid-state synthesis in the different ZrO2-TiO2 binary system [46,47]. In our sample, when the percentage of added titania was increased from 5 wt% to 10 wt%, also the intensity of ZrTiO4 peaks increased.
