Literature review: Understanding information systems strategy in the digital age
2020, Journal of Strategic Information SystemsCitation Excerpt :This heterogeneity is evident from the variety of labels used. While some authors speak of “IS strategy” (Galliers, 1991), others call it “IT strategy” (Gottschalk, 1999), while again others use terms such as “strategic information plan” (Lederer and Salmela, 1996), or “information strategy“ (Smits et al., 1997). To be inclusive and to avoid a specific bias towards technology, systems, or information, we use the combined designation “IT/IS strategy” in this literature review.
