2020, Resources, Conservation and RecyclingCitation Excerpt :Given the paucity of research on GSD and GSDP barriers, we now turn to literature on GSCM and traditional SD to provide insight on barriers (Routroy and Pradhan, 2014). In order to adopt GSCM and SD effectively, a number of barriers have to be overcome (Govindan et al., 2014; Al Zaabi et al., 2013; Muduli et al., 2013; Mathiyazhagan et al., 2013; Krause and Ellram, 1997; Mudgal et al., 2010; Luthra et al., 2011). Supplier development can turn out to be challenging for both the buying organization and the supplier.
