Generally, the Soret and Dufour effects are of a smaller order of magnitude than the effects prescribed by Fick’s laws in heat and mass transfer processes (Malashetty et al., 2006). However, two transmission characteristics interfere with each other simultaneously, e.g., the influence of the Soret and Dufour effects may be quite different (Hayat et al., 2018).
