2023, Composites Part B: EngineeringParametric studies on SiC-abrasive jet assisted machining of alumina ceramics
2021, Materials Today: ProceedingsCitation Excerpt :Prasad et al. [14] determined an optimal setting of AJM parameters for efficient drilling of Ti-6Al-4 V. Authors further studied effects of pressure, nozzle diameter, and standoff distance on material removal rate. Suresh et al. [15] studied effects of AJM parameters (standoff distance, pressure, abrasive particle size, and machining time) on material removal rate, taper angle during micro-hole drilling of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) composite, and borosilicate glass. It was experienced that MRR was mostly influenced by abrasive particle size, and standoff distance.
Sensitivity analysis of abrasive air-jet machining parameters on machinability of carbon and glass fiber reinforced hybrid composites
2020, Materials Today CommunicationsCitation Excerpt :It is observed that the material removal rate (MRR) is influenced by the operating pressure (p-value<0.05) but changes with variation in the nozzle tip distance (NTD). Similar results were obtained by Suresh et al. [28] while drilling glass fiber reinforced polymer composites by AAJM. They found that the MRR is sensitive to the operating pressure.
