Abstract

In this study, analytical expressions for pressure head and discharge in the frequency domain were presented for a branched pipeline system with both a leakage and a blockage. To consider the unsteady friction's impact, the impedance development process implemented both unsteady friction impact resulting from velocity profiles with two-dimensional distributions and unsteady friction resulting from acceleration. Based on impedance expressions defining this system, response functions were derived in the frequency domain and their corresponding time-domain responses were integrated into a meta-heuristic calibration scheme for inverse transient analysis.
