Synthesis of nanostructured silicon carbide spheres from mesoporous C–SiO2 nanocomposites

Abstract

Nanostructured porous silicon carbide hollow spheres have been synthesized by phase separation in mesoporous silicacarbon nanocomposites at high temperatures and subsequent carbothermal reduction and crystallization.
