A simple colorimetric method for the quantification of Au(iii) ions and its use in quantifying Au nanoparticles

Abstract

A simple and sensitive method, based on the redox reaction between 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine and Au3+, for the quantification of Au3+ ions was developed. The method was successfully applied to the rapid and accurate quantification of Au-based nanoparticles.
