A micrometer-size TiO2 single-crystal photocatalyst with remarkable 80% level of reactive facets

Abstract

A micro-sheet anatase TiO2 single crystal photocatalyst with a remarkable 80% level of reactive {001} facets was synthesized via a microwave-assisted hydrothermal route involving titanium tetrafluoride and a tetrafluoroborate-based ionic liquid.
