A 10 Gbit/s symmetrical WDM-PON exploiting a cross-seeding scheme to enable wavelength reuse and avoid reflection-induced penalties is presented. The use of DPSK modulation format for downstream transmission removes the constraints on the extinction-ratio of the downstream signal. Error-free operation over 25 km of singlemode fibre is demonstrated.
