Abstract

In studies of the effects of high temperatures on 2 cultures of Trichogramma pretiosum Riley programmed for field release, temperatures <37°C immediately and drastically reduced emergence of the parasites from host eggs. Continuous rearing of the oviposition stock in one of the cultures under a variable temperature and light regime did not produce a more heat-resistant parasite.
