Quantum mechanics in terms of non-negative smoothed Wigner functions

Abstract

A formalism that allows the formulation of quantum mechanics in terms of non-negative smoothed Wigner functions, in a simple and straightforward way, is developed. It contains the formulation of quantum mechanics in terms of Husimi distributions as a special case.
