Abstract

A coherent picture for the so-called rapid oscillation (RO) phenomena observed in (TMTSF)2X(X=ClO4 and NO3) is presented. By comparatively studying the two very similar systems, yet with quite different RO features, we have identified the origin of the mysterious field and temperature dependences of RO. Direct diagonalization of the Hamiltonian matrices of the standard model under field yields the magnetization. The subtle interplay between the anion and spin-density wave orderings is found to be an important factor to understand the quantum magnetic oscillations.
