Abstract

The response of isotropic and anisotropic nanoparticles to an applied Gaussian magnetic field pulse is studied. For an anisotropic particle, the effect of a stepwise pulse is also considered. A complicated periodic dependence of the amplitude and duration of the response on the duration and amplitude of the applied pulse with pronounced extrema is revealed. The periodic conditions for magnetization reversal processes corresponding to quite different relaxation times are found. The effect of the uniaxial anisotropy of a nanoparticle and the bias magnetic field on the precession dynamics of the response is analyzed.
