Interactions of Intense Extremely Short Pulses with Quantum Objects

Abstract

A simple description of the action of an extremely intense and short radiation pulse on a quantum object is proposed. The general approximate solution of the transient Schrödinger equation is concretized for the case of electric-dipole transitions in a hydrogen atom.
