Abstract

Two electrochemical techniques have been applied to characterize the electrocatalytic properties of for the high‐temperature reduction of oxygen. The results are correlated with accurate thermogravimetric measurements. The electrocatalytic behavior is ascribed to mobile oxide vacancies generated by the cathodic polarization. The electrode potential at which this process becomes efficient varies significantly with the strontium dopant concentration.
