The present article deals with the study of propagation of plane waves in an isotropic micropolar generalized thermoelastic medium with two temperatures. It is found that for two dimensional model of micropolar generalized thermoelastic medium with two temperatures, there exist four coupled waves, longitudinal displacement wave (LD-wave), thermal wave (T-wave), two coupled transverse displacement and microrotational waves (CD-I and CD-II waves). The phase velocity, attenuation coefficient, specific loss and penetration depth are computed numerically and depicted graphically. In addition, we construct the fundamental solutions of the system of differential equations for steady oscillations. Some basic properties of the fundamental solution are established and some special cases are also discussed.
