ABSTRACT

To apply the Finite Element Method (FEM) to the mechanical analysis of rubbers, a hyperelastic material model (Ogden 1997, Holzapfel 2000) is generally used as a constitutive model of the rubbers. The accurate determination of the material constants of the hyperelastic model requires nominal stress-stretch (strain) relationships under uniaxial tension, pure shear, and equibiaxial tension.
