Abstract

We provide 40G OTU3 performance results for Continuously-Interleaved concatenated BCH (CI-BCH) FEC, demonstrating best-in-class performance for a 7% overhead hard-decision FEC and offers option to tradeoff coding gain for reduced FEC decode latency.
