A Conceptual Model of Multicriterion Adaptation of the Linear Predictive Voice Coding Procedure
ABSTRACT
The degree of adaptation of the existing vocoders based on the linear prediction method is analyzed. A hypothesis is formulated on the possibility of optimization of such devices on the basis of multicriterion adaptation of the used voice processing procedures to a specific speaker under the conditions of unfavorable acoustic noise, statistical and parametrical characteristics of coded voice signal frames, conditions of operation of interacting codecs in a multi-service user terminal, the applied information transmission technology, as well as the communication network load and interference conditions in allocated communication channels.
