Some regularities of adsorption of cholesteric liquid-crystalline nanocompositions during the friction of solids

Abstract

The regularities of adsorption of lubricating media containing cholesteric liquid-crystalline nanocompositions are studied in the static and dynamic contact between solids. It is established that adsorption occurs only when surfaces contact dynamically. A direct relation is obtained in the dynamic contact of the steelon-steel couple between the induced (triboinduced) adsorption of cholesteric liquid-crystalline nanocompositions and the triboengineering characteristics.
