Abstract
Stabilisation of the order process by flexible order assignment. The car manufacturer and their value creating partners have still difficulties to stabilise the complex automotive production and logistics processes. This is causing a negative influence on the important goals on-time-delivery to the customer and order sequence stability in production. Within this paper, methods for production control are presented that allow a hedging against order sequence instability by means of flexible order assignment. The goal is to enable the stabilisation by virtual re-sequencing and to realise improvements in productivity by rationalisation of both: internal workflows and processes in the supply-network.
