Abstract
In the context of industry 4.0, the collection of accumulated data in production and its usage is of fundamental importance. The analysis of operational data, which are generated on various levels, allows conclusions and insights for an improved decision making. The basis for the usage of data analysis and evaluation processes builds a sufficiently precise image of the data, called the digital shadow, in the order processing production, development or other relevant fields. In the course of the following article, a model of the digital shadow within the order processing is presented. It builds the basis for the implementation of data analysis methods.
