Abstract:

The paper presents the characteristics of fire-wood, the combustion process and the degradation of wood and also conducts an assessment non-retarded and retarded beech veneer testing reaction to fire according to EN ISO 11925-2 and its methodology. The main contribution is to highlight the importance of fire retardants in view of the fire properties of materials
