The beauty of language structure has been evaluated by the subjective sensitivity with intuition, and experience. This i ndicates that beauty cannot be quantitatively evaluated. The purpose of this study is to propose the quantitative evaluation method for the beauty. The establishment of the quantitative evaluation method gives us an information concerning the designing of the more beautiful structure. The targets used were a hiragana drawn by four persons, three beginners and one calligrapher with a high skill. In the quantification technique, brush motions under drawing were measured by a motion capture system. Four types of hiragana were also evaluated by sensory test. Compared the brush motions with the sensory testing results, it was concluded that some composition elements of beauty could be quantitatively evaluated by the brush motion and geometry of hiragana.
