Abstract

The health impacts of air pollution are profound and far-reaching, affecting millions of individuals worldwide. This chapter explores the various health outcomes associated with exposure to air pollutants, including respiratory diseases, cardiovascular conditions, and cognitive impairments. It examines the vulnerable populations most at risk, such as children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing health conditions, and discusses the socioeconomic disparities in exposure and health outcomes.
