Masking Operator Based Genetic Algorithm Optimization for Edge Detection in Images

Abstract

In the paper proposed, a genetic algorithm optimization on masking operator for edge detection is implemented to give an optimized working model. Genetic algorithm helps in finding the operator values by optimizing the parameters to reach the target solution. Berkeley Segmentation Database images and their ground truths are used for experimentation and qualitative evaluation of the proposed model. In addition to other methods available, Genetic Algorithm optimized detection of edge, play a key role in understanding the features of images. Genetic Algorithm optimized Edge detection helps in matching the pattern, and recognizing an object in an accurate way.
