Medicometry and Regional Devlopment

Through their role in local investment and quality of life health care services contribute to the economic development process. Regional medicometry, arigourous technical field and an applied field concerned with the formulation of public policies, considers these policies as basic for local development. Through case studies, this paper shows the importance of the health care system in terms of investment and economic and social multipliers. Only a global view of regional health care systems can foster effective treatment of issues relating to medical infrastructures in a context of sustainable development.
