Abstract

Der Artikel geht auf die Feinheiten des Quecksilberabfallmanagements in China ein und hebt die erheblichen Herausforderungen hervor, die die Umsetzung des Minamata-Übereinkommens über Quecksilber mit sich bringt. Er diskutiert die Industriesektoren, die Quecksilber-Abfälle erzeugen, den aktuellen Regulierungsrahmen und die potenziellen Abfallbewirtschaftungsprobleme, die sich aus der schrittweisen Abschaffung quecksilberhaltiger Produkte und Prozesse ergeben könnten. Die Studie enthält auch politische Empfehlungen, um Chinas Kapazitäten für ein umweltfreundliches Quecksilber-Abfallmanagement zu verbessern und die Einhaltung internationaler Standards sicherzustellen.
