Presented system combines the rapid technological advances in wireless communication and on the other hand progress in sophisticated, miniaturized sensors, to create remote detector of human fall and walking parameters. New MEMs acceleration sensor, with A/D converter, filter and additional peripherals on the miniaturized board was connected to microcontroller system by SPI bus, control system with embedded human fall detection algorithm sends reports and alarms using wireless GSM or GPRS protocol. To obtain detection rules a series of tests were carried out including simulated human fall, controlled lying down, sitting, walking.
