Today the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are still forced by law to achieve the CO2 fleet emission limits of about 95 g/km by 2020. The carmakers actually know that this goal cannot be achieved with only engine internal optimizations, so they are intensively starting to analyze the full drive train to increase the efficiency and decrease friction losses. Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, as a seal manufacturer for sealing systems in the drive train of modern vehicles, can provide an important contribution to support the OEMs in reducing the total CO2 emissions in the vehicles by optimizing the dynamic sealing systems due to low friction.
