Zusammenfassung

Eine nachhaltige Wirtschaft kann langfristig nur auf regenerativen Ressourcen aufbauen. Eine nachhaltige Wirtschaft muss daher mit Blick auf ihre Ressourcenbasis eine Bioökonomie sein. Die UN-Nachhaltigkeitsziele beleuchten in verschiedener Hinsicht den engen Zusammenhang von Bioökonomie und Nachhaltigkeit. Der Anbau von Biomasse in großem Maßstab kann aber negative Auswirkungen auf Umwelt und Ernährungssicherheit haben, die es zu berücksichtigen gilt, um nicht die Erreichung der Nachhaltigkeitsziele zu gefährden. Verschiedene staatliche Akteure und Akteure der Zivilgesellschaft müssen zusammenarbeiten, damit die Transformation unserer derzeitigen auf fossilen Rohstoffen basierenden Wirtschaft zu einer nachhaltigen Bioökonomie gelingt.
