Abstract

Der Artikel geht auf die tiefgreifenden Auswirkungen des Klimawandels auf die Fischereigemeinschaften in den Sudd-Feuchtgebieten im Südsudan ein und betont die Notwendigkeit, ihre Anpassungsfähigkeit zu verbessern. Es untersucht die Vernetzung von Menschen und Ökosystemen durch die Brille der Resilienztheorie und beleuchtet Strategien wie die Diversifizierung der Lebensgrundlagen, die den Gemeinschaften helfen können, sich an den Klimawandel anzupassen. Die Studie unterstreicht die einzigartigen Herausforderungen, vor denen der Südsudan aufgrund anhaltender Konflikte steht, und die Notwendigkeit gezielter Anpassungsstrategien, um die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels auf diese gefährdeten Gemeinschaften abzumildern.
