Incremental forming is a progressive sheet metal forming process characterized by large displacements, large localized strains, low cost and time saving. The aim of this work is to optimize the single point incremental forming process combining Box-Behnken design of experiments, response surface methods and genetic algorithms. The forming of truncated cones in aluminum was studied with the finite element codes Abaqus\implicit. We use two hardening laws (isotropic and combined hardening models) for modeling the incremental forming process. A comparison between two approaches results is made.
