27. Phasengleichgewichte und Mineralreaktionen in metamorphen Gesteinen

Zusammenfassung

Wie wir im vorausgehenden Kapitel gezeigt haben, führt die Gesteinsmetamorphose zu tiefgreifenden Veränderungen im Gefüge und im Mineralbestand von Gesteinen. Durch prograde und retrograde Mineralreaktionen entstehen neue Mineralassoziationen, die eine schrittweise Anpassung an sich verändernde P-T-Bedingungen dokumentieren. Meist werden beim Höhepunkt der Metamorphose, d. h. bei maximaler Temperatur, Gleichgewichtsgefüge in den dabei gebildeten Mineralassoziationen gebildet, die daher annähernd als thermodynamische Gleichgewichtsparagenesen interpretiert werden können.
