Abstract

This chapter considers the problem of estimating signal power in the Internet of Things in wireless communication system based on ray-tracing method. An example of a fragment of urban development is given. The analysis of changes in the number of rays propagating in an electromagnetic wave, depending on the width of the street, is carried out. To determine the minimum required number of rays, the principle of the maximum correlation coefficient is used in the parameters of the polynomial that describes how the signal level is distributed for the rays, depending on the base station and the mobile station. It is shown that within a given error, the computation time can be reduced several times.
