This paper presents the results of the impact that gamma radiation has on collagen derived from fish skin. The infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and UV-Vis methods were used to examine a triple helix structure of collagen. The mechanism of the occurring reactions and potential possibility to use the 3 D collagen network as scaffolds are discussed.
