Tire manufacturer Goodyear is launching a commercial vehicle tire series with DuraShield technology for mixed use. The core feature of DuraShield technology is a belt cover for additional casing injury resistance, which increases the mileage of the tire and improves its retreadability. The tires are designed for commercial vehicles, mainly on roads, but also on unpaved roads as on construction sites, such as dump trucks, concrete mixers, concrete pumps and low loaders used on construction sites, as well as trucks in the waste, recycling and timber industries and in agriculture. The tire family comprises ten sizes, including six Omnitrac S steering axle tires and four Omnitrac D drive axle tires. The 315/70 R 22.5 dimension is completely new for mixed use in the commercial vehicle tire industry and reflects the growing use of standard tractors in this sector.
